Explanation of the Party Flag of the Headquarters of China Democracy Party

The party flag of the Headquarters of China Democracy Party was solemnly approved by the overseas second representative conference of the Headquarters of China Democracy Party.

According to the current party constitution passed by the second representative conference, “Article 52: The party flag is a red and blue double-cross star flag, with a specific pattern of blue on top and red on the bottom, and a white double-cross star located on the left side of the blue upper half of the flag. The party emblem also follows this pattern. (“Provisional Regulations on the China Democratic Party Constitution of the National United Headquarters Overseas”- passed by the China Democratic Party Overseas Second Representative Conference on June 6, 2011)”

The party flag is a red and blue double-cross star flag, with political symbolism: it reflects the China Democratic Party’s adherence to the “Declaration of the Third Republic” passed by the overseas first representative conference, which states that “Chinese democrats follow the pioneering work of the predecessors of the Xinhai Revolution, creating the first republic in Asia, and respect the second republic established by the National Assembly in 1946. They are determined to build a third republic in China that is free, equal, and prosperous, with constitutional democracy.” (“China Democratic Party Constitution” – passed by the first party member representative conference of the Headquarters of China Democracy Party (Overseas) on June 4, 2007)

The party flag is a red and blue double-cross star flag, with symbolic meaning: “Double Ten” refers to October 10th, the anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. The Xinhai Revolution in 1911 created the first republic in Asia. The three colors of red, blue, and white are also the three colors of the national flag of the democratic regime of “Republic of China,” the first republic in Asia. Among the natural spectrum of colors, red, blue, and white are the most dazzling and eye-catching three colors, and many democratic countries’ national flags use these three colors. The “double-cross star flag” highlights the China Democratic Party’s inheritance of the constitutional and legal system of the “First Republic of Asia” and its lofty aspirations and strong determination to build a third republic in China that is free, equal, and prosperous, with constitutional democracy.
