国际著名中国维权律师，被称为「中国的良心」「中国的脊粱」的高智晟律师，于2017年8月13日被中共非法抓捕，至今5年音讯全无。为此，中国民主党英国总部党员自发组织，前往伦敦中国大使馆举行抗议示威活动，强然谴责中共对高智晟律师的迫害，责成中共当局：立即释放高智晟律师。
2020年，高智晟的姐姐被中共无休止地折磨，由于恐惧被逼迫跳河自杀；2021年，高智晟妻子耿和女士的姐夫也被迫跳楼自杀。
高智晟律师，曾被中国司法部评选为「中国十佳律师」，他以不畏贪官维护老百姓权益而著称。高智晟出生于陕北贫瘠山区的贫穷家庭，从小在饥饿中挣扎求生，上山采药、当煤矿童工、参军，走街串巷卖菜，全靠自学考取律师资格。
起初，高智晟在新疆当律师，帮过许多穷人免费打官司，更为广受赞扬的是替两桩受误医的贫童赢得巨额赔偿。他也曾代理多宗民众维权案件控告地方政府。
高智晟移居北京后，他成为著名的人权律师，长期替弱势群体维权，帮助当局眼中的敏感个案辩护，包括与官员发生纠纷的底层农民和私营企业家；高智晟也撰写文章，抨击社会不公，不屈服于强权，而遭受当局最严厉地迫害。
中共政权从最初对高智晟律师骚扰、威胁，到吊销营业执照、动手殴打、制造车祸，直至光天化日之下对高智晟律师绑架、非法判刑和关押、酷刑折磨、株连家人、非法剥夺他的财产……甚至以饿死他的妻儿来要胁高智晟律师妥协等。这一系列的黑社会行为，又一次充分证实了中共政权的流氓本性；也又一次揭穿了中共政权对外高唱「人权最好时期」「自由开放」的弥天大谎！
高智晟律师曾于2007、2008以及2010年三度获得诺贝尔和平奖提名。他无惧暴政的勇气，被视为当今中国的一个奇迹，美联社指高智晟律师为「中国维权律师界的领军人物」，广受尊敬；高智晟律师被中国法律界人士称为「中国维权运动的先行者」「中国全民维权意识觉醒的引领人」。

5th Anniversary of Gao Zhisheng Disappearance
The internationally renowned Chinese human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng, known as “China’s conscience” and “China’s spine”, was illegally arrested by the CCP on August 13, 2017, and has not heard from him for five years. To this end, some members of the China Democracy Party in the UK headquarters spontaneously organized a protest and demonstration at the Chinese Embassy in London, strongly condemning the CCP’s persecution of lawyer Gao Zhisheng, and instructing the CCP authorities to release lawyer Gao Zhisheng immediately.
In 2020, Gao Zhisheng’s sister was tortured endlessly by the CCP and was forced to commit suicide by jumping into a river because of fear; in 2021, Gao Zhisheng’s wife Geng He’s brother-in-law was also forced to commit suicide by jumping off a building.
Attorney Gao Zhisheng was once selected as one of the “Top Ten Lawyers in China” by the Ministry of Justice of China. He is known for defending the rights and interests of the common people without fear of corrupt officials. Gao Zhisheng was born in a poor family in the barren mountainous area of northern Shaanxi. He struggled to survive in hunger since he was a child. He went to the mountains to collect medicine, worked as a child laborer in a coal mine, joined the army, and sold vegetables on the streets.
At first, Gao Zhisheng worked as a lawyer in Xinjiang and helped many poor people file lawsuits for free. What is more widely praised was winning huge compensation for two poor children who were mistreated by doctors. He has also represented a number of civil rights protection cases against local governments.
After Gao Zhisheng moved to Beijing, he became a well-known human rights lawyer, defending the rights of vulnerable groups for a long time, and helping to defend sensitive cases in the eyes of the authorities, including low-level farmers and private entrepreneurs who had disputes with officials; Gao Zhisheng also wrote articles criticizing social injustice, Do not succumb to power, but suffer the most severe persecution by the authorities.
From the initial harassment and threats of the CCP regime to lawyer Gao Zhisheng, to revocation of business licenses, physical beatings, and car accidents, to the kidnapping, illegal sentence and detention, torture, implicated family members, and illegal deprivation of property of Gao Zhisheng in broad daylight… …and even coerced lawyer Gao Zhisheng to compromise by starving his wife and children to death. This series of underworld behaviors has once again fully confirmed the hooligan nature of the CCP regime; it has once again exposed the CCP regime’s big lie of “the best period for human rights” and “freedom and openness”!
Lawyer Gao Zhisheng was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times in 2007, 2008 and 2010. His courage without fear of tyranny is regarded as a miracle in today’s China, and Gao Zhisheng’s deep understanding of the nature of the CCP cult and the experience of his entire family also confirms that the CCP is dying in the final struggle! The Associated Press referred to lawyer Gao Zhisheng as a “leading figure in China’s human rights defense lawyer community” and was widely respected; lawyer Gao Zhisheng was called “the pioneer of China’s human rights defense movement” and “the leader of the awakening of China’s national rights defense awareness” by Chinese legal circles.
