追忆六四、展望未来 —伦敦“六四”34 周年国际研讨会纪实 Recalling June 4th, Looking Towards the Future – London “June 4th” 34th Anniversary International Symposium

2023年5月27日,由英国中国观察和德国欧洲之声主办的“追忆六四、展望未来”—“六四”34周年国际研讨会在伦敦皇家国家酒店举行,来自多个国家和相关国际人权组织的代表参加了此次会议。这次会议的主旨在回顾并探讨1989年中国北京天安门广场上发生的事件,并呼吁为中国的人权和民主进程争取更大的支持和关注。

研讨会分上午的现场会议和下午的网络会议,会议一开始,由会议主持人中国民主党英国总部顾问黄华先生向与会者介绍了会议目的和议程。中国民主党英国总部王冠儒主席致开幕词,中国民主党全国联合总部汪珉主席,国际笔会和平委员会副主席、欧洲之声社长廖天琪女士,英国 Archbishop Dr. Abraham Costakis Evangelou MBE ,法国著名汉学家Prof.Marie Holzman, 藏人行政中央驻英国代表索朗次仁,德国莱茵马斯职业高校教师、牧师Mr.Roland Kuhne,国际人权组织理事Mr. Michael Leh, 著名流亡英国作家马建,英国香港港侨协会负责人郑文杰,欧洲之声主编、民主中国阵线召集人兼秘书长潘永忠,中国民主党英国总部秘书长蒋玉山,分别做了发言,他们从不同角度详细介绍了六四事件的背景和发展,描述了当时学生和市民的和平抗议以及中国政府对此的镇压行动。他们强调,六四事件不仅是中国历史上的一次重大悲剧,也是对全球人权价值观的严重挑战。他们呼吁国际社会持续关注中国的人权状况,并对中国政府采取更加有力的行动。会议的一大亮点是来自中国以外的著名人权活动家的发言,他们以自己亲身经历和见解,深情的谈到了六四事件对中国社会和国际社会的影响。他们敦促国际社会团结一致,继续为中国的人权和民主奋斗,并对中国民众的勇气和坚持表示敬意。

下午的网络会议,发言者有:中国民主运动海外联席会议主席魏京生,台湾驻德国大使谢志伟,八九民运的学生领袖王丹,著名理论家、北京之春杂志社名誉总编胡平,欧洲议会议员Mr.Reinhard Butikofer,藏人行政中央驻台湾代表格桑坚参,中国民主党全国委员会主席王军涛,南蒙古大呼拉尔主席、内蒙人民党主席席海明,英国保守党人权委员会副主席Mr.Bennedict Rogers,中国民主运动海外联席会议秘书长黄慈萍,藏人行政中央外交与新闻部西藏之页主编蒋杨次仁,光传媒董事长王安娜,水利专家王维洛,民主中国阵线总部召集人王进忠,中国民主党海外委员会秘书长姜福祯,中国民主党全国委员会副主席陈立群,民主中国阵线总召集人梁有灿,中国民主党海外委员会主席陈忠和。

下午网络会议结束后,与会者步行至伦敦中国驻英国大使馆举行示威抗议活动,活动现场气氛热烈,大家举着“六四屠杀”等各类标语、横幅,高喊着:勿忘六四、中共下台、习近平下台等口号,活动现场充满了悲愤之情。抗议活动中,廖天琪女士、法国汉学家Prof.Marie Holzman、南蒙古团体代表、流亡作家马建、中国民主党英国总部成员谌彬、廖柳燕分别发表了演讲,表达了对六四事件中遇难者深深敬意和对中共政府的强烈谴责和愤恨,强烈期盼能尽早还原事实真相,必须惩罚和追责作恶者的中国共产党。尽管时间已经过去34年,但六四事件仍然是一个悬而未决的问题,对中国人民的历史记忆和言论自由产生了深远影响。我们坚信通过大家的团结和努力,六四真相将无法被掩盖,历史的伤口将得到治愈。 参加此次活动的中国民主党英国总部党员有:王冠儒、黄华、蒋玉山、林丽君、刘坤、王伟、张维声、魏辰雨、余刚、廖柳燕、顾晓锋、靳雪涔、陈明旺、于伟梁、杨奕、崔少华、谌彬等。

Recalling June 4th, Looking Towards the Future – London “June 4th” 34th Anniversary International Symposium

On May 27, 2023, the “Recalling June 4th, Looking Towards the Future” – the 34th Anniversary International Symposium on June 4th was held at the Royal National Hotel in London, organized by China Observer UK and Voice of Europe Germany. Representatives from various countries and international human rights organizations attended the conference. The purpose of this conference was to review and discuss the events that took place on Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China in 1989, and to call for greater support and attention to China’s human rights and democratic progress.

The symposium consisted of an on-site session in the morning and an online session in the afternoon. At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Huang Hua, an advisor to the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, introduced the purpose and agenda of the conference. Mr. Wang Guanru, Chairman of the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, delivered the opening speech. Mr. Wang Min, Chairman of the National United Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, Ms. Liao Tianqi, Vice Chairman of the International PEN Peace Committee and President of Voice of Europe, Archbishop Dr. Abraham Costakis Evangelou MBE from the UK, renowned sinologist Prof. Marie Holzman from France, Mr. Sonam Tsering, Representative of the Central Tibetan Administration in the UK, Mr. Roland Kuhne, Teacher and Pastor at Rhein-Maas University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Mr. Michael Leh, Director of an international human rights organization, renowned exiled British writer Ma Jian, Mr. Cheng Wenjie, Head of the Hong Kong and Overseas Chinese Association in the UK, Mr. Pan Yongzhong, Editor-in-Chief of Voice of Europe, Convenor and Secretary General of the Democratic China Front, Mr. Jiang Yushan, Secretary-General of the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, gave speeches from different perspectives. They provided detailed insights into the background and development of the June 4th incident, describing the peaceful protests by students and citizens at that time, as well as the subsequent repression by the Chinese government. They emphasized that the June 4th incident was not only a major tragedy in Chinese history but also a significant challenge to global human rights values. They called on the international community to continue to pay attention to China’s human rights situation and take stronger actions against the Chinese government.

A highlight of the conference was the speeches by renowned human rights activists from outside China. With their personal experiences and insights, they passionately spoke about the impact of the June 4th incident on Chinese society and the international community. They urged the international community to stand united and continue to fight for human rights and democracy in China, expressing their admiration for the courage and perseverance of the Chinese people.

In the afternoon online session, the speakers included Mr. Wei Jingsheng, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Coalition, Ambassador Shieh Jhy-wey from Taiwan Embassy in Germany, student leader Wang Dan from the 1989 Democracy Movement, renowned theorist and honorary editor-in-chief of Beijing Spring magazine Hu Ping, Member of the European Parliament Mr. Reinhard Butikofer, Representative of the Central Tibetan Administration in Taiwan Gesang Jamyang, Mr. Wang Juntao, Chairman of the National Committee of the China Democratic Party, Chairman Xihaiming of the Southern Mongolian Greater Khural and Chairman of the Inner Mongolian People’s Party, Mr. Benedict Rogers, Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights Commission of the UK Conservative Party, Ms. Huang Ciping, Secretary-General of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Movement Joint Conference, Mr. Jiang Yang Ciren, Editor-in-Chief of the Tibet Page at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Information of the Central Tibetan Administration, Ms. Wang Anna, Chairman of Light Media, water conservancy expert Wang Weiluo, Convenor of the Democratic China Front Headquarters Mr. Wang Jinzhong, Secretary-General of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Movement Joint Conference Mr. Jiang Fuzhen, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the China Democratic Party Mr. Chen Liqun, Convenor of the Democratic China Front Mr. Liang Youcan, Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Democracy Movement Joint Conference Mr. Chen Zhonghe.

After the online session in the afternoon, the participants walked to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in London to hold a demonstration and protest. The atmosphere at the event was passionate, with participants holding various banners and slogans such as “Remember June 4th,” “Down with the CCP,” and “Down with Xi Jinping.” The event was filled with a sense of sadness and anger. During the protest, speeches were delivered by Ms. Liao Tianqi, Prof. Marie Holzman from France, representatives of the Southern Mongolian community, exiled writer Ma Jian, and members of the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party Chen Bin and Liao Liuyan. They expressed deep respect for the victims of the June 4th incident and strongly condemned and denounced the Chinese Communist Party. They strongly called for the early disclosure of the truth and the punishment and accountability of the wrongdoers in the Chinese Communist Party. Although 34 years have passed, the June 4th incident remains an unresolved issue, with profound implications for the historical memory of the Chinese people and freedom of speech. We firmly believe that through our unity and efforts, the truth of June 4th will not be covered up, and the wounds of history will be healed.
