纪念“反送中”四周年——中国民主党英国总部声援参与港人集会 2023年6月11日下午，近千伦敦港人冒着酷暑在英国国会广场举行集会纪念香港“反送中”运动四周年。这场集会由多个港人团体主办，不仅由在英港人参加，还有中国民主党英国总部、藏人、维吾尔人等其他人权团体和组织的参与。

2019年6月9日，香港人为了表达对港府推行的【逃犯条例修订草案】（俗称[送中条例]）之强烈反对，103万香港人集会上街游行。香港首次于历史上有破百万人参与示威，声势浩大，引起国际媒体热议。及后，纵使百万民意明确，港府执意继续漠视市民声音，并宣布将会恢复修订程序，继而进行二读辩论。当天，香港正式踏入2019反送中运动的浪潮，港人亦开始更立场鲜明地争取公义、民主、自由、全城参与抗争，香港从此改变。

中国民主党作为一个追求民主和人权的组织，对于香港的民主运动一直持支持态度。我们认为，香港有事！民运有事！香港的自由、民主事业不仅是香港人民的权利，也是所有中国人的共同责任，我们所面对的是同一个邪恶的中共政权，中共不仅摧毁香港的自由、法治，它还威胁着台湾，影响着全世界。面对暴政，不去反抗，它会迫害更多的人。因此，中国民主党英国总部的成员积极参与了今天的集会，与在英港人一起抗争、反抗中共的暴政。反送中期间，曾经有些人以为香港可以自治，无需推翻中共，但经过这四年全世界都看到，香港不能够简简单单自决，必须推翻专制独裁的中共政权，香港和整个中国才可能真正享有自由、民主。

Commemorating the Fourth Anniversary of the “Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill” – UK Headquarters of China Democracy Party Supports and Participates in Hong Kong Rally

On the afternoon of June 11, 2023, nearly a thousand Hong Kong people gathered at the UK Parliament Square in London to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Hong Kong “Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill” movement. The rally was organized by multiple Hong Kong groups and saw the participation of not only Hong Kong residents in the UK but also other human rights organizations and groups, including the UK Headquarters of China Democracy Party, Tibetan, Uyghur, and other rights advocates.

On June 9, 2019, over one million Hong Kong people took to the streets in a massive demonstration to express their strong opposition to the Hong Kong government’s proposed amendments to the Fugitive Offenders and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Legislation (commonly known as the “Extradition Bill”). It was the first time in history that over a million people participated in a protest in Hong Kong, garnering international media attention. Despite the clear expression of public sentiment, the Hong Kong government continued to disregard the voices of its citizens and announced plans to resume the legislative process, leading to a second reading debate. That day marked the beginning of the 2019 Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill movement, and Hong Kongers began a determined fight for justice, democracy, freedom, and widespread citizen participation, ushering in a transformation in Hong Kong.

China Democracy Party, as an organization that advocates for democracy and human rights, has consistently supported the democratic movement in Hong Kong. We believe that Hong Kong matters! The democracy movement matters! The cause of freedom and democracy in Hong Kong is not only the right of the Hong Kong people but also a shared responsibility of all Chinese people. We are facing the same evil regime of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which not only undermines the freedom and rule of law in Hong Kong but also poses a threat to Taiwan and affects the whole world. Faced with tyranny, if we do not resist, it will persecute even more people. Therefore, members of the UK Headquarters of China Democracy Party actively participated in today’s rally, standing in solidarity with Hong Kong residents in the UK to fight against the CCP’s tyranny. During the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill period, some people believed that Hong Kong could achieve autonomy without overthrowing the CCP. However, over the past four years, the world has witnessed that Hong Kong cannot simply pursue self-determination but must work towards the overthrow of the authoritarian CCP regime for both Hong Kong and the entire China to truly enjoy freedom and democracy.

2023年6月4日是六四天安门大屠杀事件34周年纪念日，1989年6月4日，中国军队向民众开枪，用坦克镇压镇压，导致伤亡惨重。六四34周年之际，英国伦敦的示威游行抗议由中国留学生组成的“China Deviants”团体举办，中国民主党英国总部、港人、藏人、维吾尔人等人权组织和团体共同参与。

示威者先在伦敦市中心的特拉法加广场（Trafalgar Square)集会，再一路游行至中国驻英大使馆举行抗议活动。在特拉法加广场，示威组织者们，有的扮演成当年的民主女神像，有的扮演成中国清零政策中防疫“大白”，有的派发1989年北京学生所写的文章。组织者们制作了一辆写有“社会主义核心价值观”的坦克，纪念当年在中共当局镇压中被杀害的示威者。他们以“戏仿”的方式，模仿当年天安门广场上的学生，头上帮着“新闻自由”、“言论自由”、“最后一代”的布条，朗读当年学生争取自由民主的诉求，并重演当年坦克开向碾压学生的一幕。

伦敦时间晚上7点左右，约400位的示威者游行至数公里外的中国大使馆，沿途一路高呼口号：Free China, Free Tibet, Free Hongkong, Free East Turkestan, Fight for freedom ,Take down CCP, Take down Xi jinping. 沿途的外国友人竖起大拇指表示支持与赞赏，有的也一起高呼Free China。中国民主党英国总部的党员们手持“不自由，毋宁死”，和“IT’S MY DUTY”等纪念六四的标语与横幅和其他游行示威者一路高呼口号走在游行队伍之中。抵达中国驻英大使馆后，国际特赦组织分发了另外的一些标语及电子蜡烛，悼念六四死难者。

在中国，中共删除一切六四印记，他们非常害怕人们提起任何有关六四的线索，现在连香港也无法再进行延续多年的“六四维园纪念”活动，我们纪念六四就是对暴政的反抗，就是传承六四精神，就是为中国的自由民主人权而奋斗。正如中国留学生在标语里写到的：在史册里、在人心里，别让真相隐入尘烟。 中国民主党英国总部谌彬报道

Pledge: We Will Never Forget – China Democratic Party UK Headquarters Commemorates the June 4th Event

On June 4, 2023, the 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, a protest march organized by the “China Deviants” group, composed of Chinese students studying in the UK, took place in London. The event was jointly participated by the China Democratic Party UK Headquarters, Hong Kongers, Tibetans, Uighurs, and other human rights organizations and groups.

The protesters gathered at Trafalgar Square in central London before marching towards the Chinese Embassy. At Trafalgar Square, the organizers dressed as the Statue of Liberty, “Big White,” a symbol of the zero-COVID policy in China, and distributed articles written by Beijing students in 1989. They also created a tank with the words “Socialist Core Values” to commemorate the demonstrators who were killed during the crackdown. In a symbolic manner, they imitated the students from Tiananmen Square, wearing headbands with slogans like “Press Freedom,” “Freedom of Speech,” and “The Last Generation.” They read aloud the demands for freedom and democracy made by the students at that time and reenacted the scene when tanks rolled towards and crushed the students.

Around 7 p.m., approximately 400 protesters reached the Chinese Embassy, several kilometers away, chanting slogans such as “Free China, Free Tibet, Free Hong Kong, Free East Turkestan, Fight for freedom, Take down CCP, Take down Xi Jinping.” Along the way, foreign supporters raised their thumbs in support and some joined in chanting “Free China.” Members of the China Democratic Party UK Headquarters carried banners and slogans commemorating the June 4th event, such as “Better to Die Than to Live Without Freedom” and “IT’S MY DUTY,” while marching and chanting alongside other protesters. Upon reaching the Chinese Embassy, Amnesty International distributed additional banners and electronic candles to mourn the victims of June 4th.

In China, the Communist Party has erased all traces of the June 4th incident, fearing any mention or reference to it. Even in Hong Kong, the long-standing “June 4th Victoria Park Vigil” cannot be held anymore. Our commemoration of June 4th is a resistance against tyranny, an inheritance of the spirit of June 4th, and a struggle for freedom, democracy, and human rights in China. As written on one of the banners by Chinese students: “In the annals of history and in people’s hearts, let the truth not be concealed by the dust.”

Recalling June 4th, Looking Towards the Future – London “June 4th” 34th Anniversary International Symposium

On May 27, 2023, the “Recalling June 4th, Looking Towards the Future” – the 34th Anniversary International Symposium on June 4th was held at the Royal National Hotel in London, organized by China Observer UK and Voice of Europe Germany. Representatives from various countries and international human rights organizations attended the conference. The purpose of this conference was to review and discuss the events that took place on Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China in 1989, and to call for greater support and attention to China’s human rights and democratic progress.

The symposium consisted of an on-site session in the morning and an online session in the afternoon. At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Huang Hua, an advisor to the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, introduced the purpose and agenda of the conference. Mr. Wang Guanru, Chairman of the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, delivered the opening speech. Mr. Wang Min, Chairman of the National United Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, Ms. Liao Tianqi, Vice Chairman of the International PEN Peace Committee and President of Voice of Europe, Archbishop Dr. Abraham Costakis Evangelou MBE from the UK, renowned sinologist Prof. Marie Holzman from France, Mr. Sonam Tsering, Representative of the Central Tibetan Administration in the UK, Mr. Roland Kuhne, Teacher and Pastor at Rhein-Maas University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Mr. Michael Leh, Director of an international human rights organization, renowned exiled British writer Ma Jian, Mr. Cheng Wenjie, Head of the Hong Kong and Overseas Chinese Association in the UK, Mr. Pan Yongzhong, Editor-in-Chief of Voice of Europe, Convenor and Secretary General of the Democratic China Front, Mr. Jiang Yushan, Secretary-General of the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, gave speeches from different perspectives. They provided detailed insights into the background and development of the June 4th incident, describing the peaceful protests by students and citizens at that time, as well as the subsequent repression by the Chinese government. They emphasized that the June 4th incident was not only a major tragedy in Chinese history but also a significant challenge to global human rights values. They called on the international community to continue to pay attention to China’s human rights situation and take stronger actions against the Chinese government.

A highlight of the conference was the speeches by renowned human rights activists from outside China. With their personal experiences and insights, they passionately spoke about the impact of the June 4th incident on Chinese society and the international community. They urged the international community to stand united and continue to fight for human rights and democracy in China, expressing their admiration for the courage and perseverance of the Chinese people.

After the online session in the afternoon, the participants walked to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in London to hold a demonstration and protest. The atmosphere at the event was passionate, with participants holding various banners and slogans such as “Remember June 4th,” “Down with the CCP,” and “Down with Xi Jinping.” The event was filled with a sense of sadness and anger. During the protest, speeches were delivered by Ms. Liao Tianqi, Prof. Marie Holzman from France, representatives of the Southern Mongolian community, exiled writer Ma Jian, and members of the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party Chen Bin and Liao Liuyan. They expressed deep respect for the victims of the June 4th incident and strongly condemned and denounced the Chinese Communist Party. They strongly called for the early disclosure of the truth and the punishment and accountability of the wrongdoers in the Chinese Communist Party. Although 34 years have passed, the June 4th incident remains an unresolved issue, with profound implications for the historical memory of the Chinese people and freedom of speech. We firmly believe that through our unity and efforts, the truth of June 4th will not be covered up, and the wounds of history will be healed.

抗议活动于下午5点开始，当时，几十位南蒙古人团体和中国民主党英国总部成员手持标语和横幅，站在中国驻伦敦大使馆门前，高呼：Free Southern Mongolia, Save the Mongolia Language, Free Tibet, Free HongKong, Free East Turkestan, Free China 等口号，呼吁中国政府尊重南蒙古地区居民的基本权利，停止对南蒙古地区和中国大陆异见人士的的镇压和迫害。

据了解，近年来，中国政府在南蒙古地区加强了对藏族、蒙古族等少数民族的压制和打压，在整个中国大陆地区不断的迫害异见人士和维权人士，据悉，从2023年9月开始中国政府将在整个南蒙古地区全面禁止蒙古语教学，取消蒙古语教学和抹杀蒙古文化，严重侵犯南蒙古居民的基本权利。同时中国民主党英国总部强烈谴责中国政府对中国大陆异见人士的迫害，特别是这次中国著名人权活动人士丁家喜和许志永被控“颠覆国家政权”罪遭判重刑，凸显在习近平的统治下，中国社会的言论空间已不复存在。此次抗议活动旨在引起国际社会的关注，促使中国政府尊重少数民族的权利和自由，保障南蒙古地区居民的基本人权，呼吁国际社会关注中国社会的人权状况。

Release Political Prisoners Wang Bingzhang, Qin Yongmin, Chen Shuqing, and Lü Gengsong: Protest by the UK Headquarters of China Democratic Party

On the afternoon of May 7, 2023, a demonstration protest was held in front of the Chinese Embassy in London, organized by the Southern Mongolian group in the UK and jointly participated in by the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party. The protest aimed to express dissatisfaction and outrage at the Chinese government’s repression and persecution of the Southern Mongolian region and dissidents in mainland China. The UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party strongly demanded the immediate release of party members Wang Bingzhang, Qin Yongmin, Chen Shuqing, and Lü Gengsong.

The protest began at 5 p.m., with dozens of members from the Southern Mongolian group and the UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party holding banners and signs in front of the Chinese Embassy in London. They chanted slogans such as “Free Southern Mongolia, Save the Mongolian Language, Free Tibet, Free Hong Kong, Free East Turkestan, Free China,” calling on the Chinese government to respect the basic rights of residents in the Southern Mongolian region and to halt the repression and persecution of dissidents in the region and mainland China.

It is understood that in recent years, the Chinese government has intensified its suppression and crackdown on ethnic minorities such as Tibetans and Mongolians in the Southern Mongolian region. Throughout mainland China, dissenters and human rights activists have faced continuous persecution. It has been reported that starting in September 2023, the Chinese government plans to completely ban Mongolian language teaching in the entire Southern Mongolian region, erasing Mongolian language education and culture, which constitutes a severe violation of the basic rights of Southern Mongolian residents. The UK Headquarters of the China Democratic Party strongly condemned the persecution of dissidents in mainland China, particularly highlighting the severe sentences imposed on prominent human rights activists Ding Jiaxi and Xu Zhiyong, who were charged with “subversion of state power.” This underscores the absence of free expression in Chinese society under the rule of Xi Jinping. The purpose of this protest was to draw international attention and urge the Chinese government to respect the rights and freedoms of ethnic minorities, protect the basic human rights of residents in the Southern Mongolian region, and call on the international community to pay attention to the human rights situation in Chinese society.
