中国民主党英国总部响应“中国民主党朱虞夫救助委员会”的呼吁，于2024年3月5日星期二，在伦敦西部 Ealing Broadway地铁站门口举办了第二期为朱虞夫先生募捐晚期胃癌医疗费的活动。第一期是两天前，在中共驻英国伦敦大使馆门口举办的。
朱虞夫先生是中国民主党创建人之一，是杭州七九民主墙代表人物，反抗暴政的诗文首见于杭州民主墙，又见于民刊《四五月刊》 、《沉钟》等杂志。1989年“六四”积极支持学生运动；1998年投入中国民主党创建工作，为筹备委员会秘书长，并出版《在野党》杂志九期；2011年又投身“茉莉花运动”。朱虞夫先生三次入狱坐牢共16年，传讯、拘押无数；最荒唐的是以其《是时候了！》12行诗被判刑七年。2023年11月，朱虞夫先生确诊患晚期胃癌，已做全胃切除，仅靠肠道吸收维持生命。经过一波三折，朱虞夫先生于2月2日惊险出逃到日本治病，但他将面对高额的医疗费用。
今天，伦敦西部阳光明媚，气候温和。募捐现场就在地铁站旁边，人来人往，熙熙攘攘。现场播放英语歌曲： Lean on me. 《依靠我》。这是一首鼓舞病人和病魔战斗的感人歌曲，表达了我们每一个人都会遇到这一天，需要依靠别人帮助自己的情感。有党员不停地用中英文演讲，揭露中共独裁政府是如何迫害中国民主党人的，并介绍朱虞夫先生在中国国内的反独裁，争自由，争人权，争民主的英雄事迹。其他党员一字排开，向路过的过客散发传单。
这次活动引起过路英国人的极大注意力，不停有人上前索要传单和捐款，并询问下一次活动的时间。路过的汽车也对这些年轻党员鸣笛表示致敬。
中国民主党英国总部举办这次活动的主要目的是，向世人表示，朱虞夫先生并不孤独，在他的身后站着一代一代的年轻人，他们将会继承朱虞夫先生所开创民主事业。即使大家远隔千山万水，互不相识，但是，共同的信念把我们连在了一起。朱虞夫先生为信仰而生，为信仰而战斗！在他身上所焕发出来的精神力量是巨大的！朱虞夫先生为之而奋斗的中国民主事业将会后继有人。

UK Headquarters of China Democracy Party is raising funds for Mr. Zhu Yufu’s medical expenses
In response to the call of the “China Democracy Party Zhu Yufu Relief Committee”, the UK headquarters of the China Democracy Party held the second round of fundraising for Mr. Zhu Yufu’s medical expenses for advanced gastric cancer on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the entrance of Ealing Broadway subway station in west London. Activity. The first session was held two days ago in front of the Chinese Embassy in London, UK.
Mr. Zhu Yufu is one of the founders of the China Democratic Party and a representative figure of the July 9th Democracy Wall in Hangzhou. His poems and essays against tyranny first appeared on the Hangzhou Democracy Wall and appeared in the folk journals “April and May Issue”, “Shen Zhong” and other magazines. In 1989, he actively supported the student movement during the June 4th Movement; in 1998, he participated in the founding of the China Democratic Party, serving as the Secretary-General of the Preparatory Committee and publishing nine issues of the “Opposition Party” magazine; in 2011, he also participated in the “Jasmine Movement”. Mr. Zhu Yufu was imprisoned three times for a total of 16 years. He was summoned and detained numerous times. The most ridiculous one is his “It’s Time!” 》12 lines of poetry and was sentenced to seven years in prison. In November 2023, Mr. Zhu Yufu was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer. He had a total gastrectomy and relied only on intestinal absorption to maintain his life. After many twists and turns, Mr. Zhu Yufu fled to Japan for treatment on February 2, but he will face high medical expenses.
It’s sunny and mild today in west London. The donation site is right next to the subway station, bustling with people coming and going. English song played live: Lean on me. This is a touching song that encourages patients to fight the disease. It expresses the emotion that each of us will encounter on this day and the need to rely on others to help us. Some party members kept giving speeches in Chinese and English, exposing how the Chinese Communist dictatorship persecuted the China Democrats, and introduced Mr. Zhu Yufu’s heroic deeds of fighting against dictatorship, fighting for freedom, fighting for human rights, and fighting for democracy in China. Other party members lined up and handed out leaflets to passers-by.
This event attracted great attention from passing British people. Some people kept coming forward to ask for leaflets and donations, and asked when the next event would be. Passing cars also honk their horns in tribute to these young party members.
The main purpose of the UK headquarters of China Democracy Party in organizing this event is to show the world that Mr. Zhu Yufu is not alone. Behind him are generations of young people who will inherit the cause of democracy started by Mr. Zhu Yufu. Even though we are thousands of miles apart and don’t know each other, our common beliefs connect us. Mr. Zhu Yufu lives for his faith and fights for his faith! The spiritual power radiating from him is huge! The cause of Chinese democracy that Mr. Zhu Yufu fought for will be succeeded by others.
The UK headquarters of the China Democracy Party will continue to raise funds for Mr. Zhu Yufu’s medical expenses for advanced gastric cancer.
